Northern Beaches Shopping Centre

Project Description

Our client is a large shopping centre chain with a facility on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. As part of their plans for future development work they were required to re-route the sewer main which runs underneath their carpark.

Design Challenges

The traditional solution for re-routing the sewer main included the introduction of a pump station which included prohibitive costs, significant occupational health and safety risks: and substantial interruption to services over a prolonged period

What was Avac’s solution

Avac’s vacuum drainage solution provided the client with a 50% cost savings while ensuring a much quicker turnaround than the traditional gravity pump station method. Occupational health and safety risks were also minimised along with a far less invasive construction program meaning shoppers were not interrupted. Avac’s remote monitoring module was installed to provide comprehensive after sales service and subsequent peace of mind for the client.
