The Kings School-  Water Management

Project Description:

The Kings School is an independent school for boys in Sydney’s Parramatta precinct which educates both day-students and boarders.  It is an educational institution which is proud of its academic and cultural heritage.  The school recently embarked on a prolonged facilities redevelopment program to offer its students modern, environmentally friendly washrooms.

Design Challenges:

The school wanted to introduce water management to its showering facilities to provide environmentally friendly energy savings via reduced hot water usage and simultaneously ensure equitable shower times for live-in students.  The school also wished to partner with a reliable provider with a proven track record and who ensured the same solution would be available for the duration of the extended building works.

What was Avac’s solution

Avac’s MasterTrol Water Management system was selected as it has been installed in numerous Australian facilities for the past 20 years, providing the school with peace of mind regarding suitability and longevity.  In addition, the inbuilt flexibility in Avac’s MasterTrol system enables facilities managers to reprogram both run-times and lock-out times to suit their objectives at the time – be it shorter times during water restrictions or otherwise

“Flexibility was key – Avac’s handheld programmer and Water Management system enabled facilities managers to control water and energy usage with ease”.
